Sherborne Art Open Exhibition

About the Exhibition

Founded in 1931, Sherborne Art Open Exhibition's Open Art Exhibition, held annually in July, has flourished and grown to become one of the West Country’s largest and most popular Open Art Exhibitions.

The Club’s main purpose is to encourage and promote West Country artists.

See News pages for further details of other items of interest.

Our family friendly Exhibitions are attended by many Summer visitors, who enjoy taking part in the Viewers' Choice Prize Competition (£100). See Prize Winners page for details of all five prizes.

Over 400 Exhibits at our Annual Open Exhibition are for sale and the entrance is free. There is good Disabled Access and Pay and Display Parking beside the Hall.

Our Volunteers

Our volunteers are indispensable and we welcome offers of help. We need people to do all kinds of tasks, such as taking in work, hanging pictures and checking picture frames, making tea, sorting unsold work and checking lists. These take place on handing in day, on the three following days and on handing back day. We have a lot of fun too, so please do consider joining us.

Our Stewards

Our stewards help by welcoming visitors and selling catalogues, and sometimes pictures, and generally curating the exhibition. Again, we would be glad of any help here.
